Healios is a digital healthcare technology company, working to empower patients and families affected by mental illnesses and neurodevelopmental conditions. Rich Andrews and Dr Lars Hansen will talk about the latest innovation to come out of Healios Labs (the company’s innovation hub) called ThinkNinja®, the ‘world’s most advanced mental health app specifically designed for children and young people.’
ThinkNinja® is an app designed to help young people with their mental health and emotional well-being. Through education, built around cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques, young people can develop important coping skills and build resilience to deal with what life throws at them. ThinkNinja® also supports symptoms of anxiety and low mood, and provides two clinical step up functions – live text chat and live CBT sessions via video link - both with a trained mental health practitioner available seven days a week.
Dr Lars Hansen said, “It was a great honour to be approached by the Royal Society of Medicine to present the work we are doing. The digital space is extremely exciting and our philosophy is one that drives technology to enhance human interactions in healthcare, and not to replace them. This is important for everyone at Healios.”
Richard Andrews said, “The Royal Society Medical Innovation Summit is about showcasing the most significant and exciting healthcare innovations across the 58 medical specialities that are having an impact at a large scale. Having good mental health falls across all these medical specialities. To have an opportunity of showcasing our pioneering work at transforming mental health and neurodevelopmental services in one of the societies flagship events is a great privilege for Healios. We’re looking forward to the day!”
